nOt bad a meal... hOwever, nOthing beats the authentic bangkOk chicken rice. sOft, tastebuds-stimulating thai rice... tender drumstick... sweet & sOur sauce... Oh hOw much i've missed the delectable dish.

an uneventful 3-hOur ride (not that i was wishing for any undesired surprises...) there's just nOthing yOu can dO, travelling On a budget airline, withOut having tO pay fOr any additiOnal services OnbOard that is. wise wOrd: nap! yeah right. as if yOu guys have yet tO adOpt this favOurite past-time. recall hitting the snOOze buttOn every mOrn? always sleeping thrOugh breakfast and way past lunch hOur On lazy weekends? never mind. i'm digressing. steering back...

lazed arOund fOr Over an hOur befOre heading Out tO the street markets. never in Our "wildest" imaginatiOns did we expect tO cOver the 3 main shOpping streets in the span Of less than half a day.
fa yuen street was alright. pretty pasar malam like... laid my eyes On a pretty pink brOlly. ladies market aka tung choi street was quite a disappOintment, with stalls selling similar items, nOne that wOuld bring sparkles tO Our eyes. temple street wasn't any better. periOd.

cOuldn't find dim sum tO stuff Our famished sOuls... had zi char instead. nOthing new, really. but the next 3 days wOuld have me realise that this wOuld be the best-tasting meal fOr the entire trip *gasp!*

treated tO splendid views Of repulse bay alOng the 30 mins Or sO bus jOurney frOm central tO stanley market. dwellings perched precariously on the hills put me On edge thOugh. hOpe they drilled their fOundatiOns deep enOugh tO suppOrt such massive structures...

Only purchased a pair Of shOrts, a camisOle and a baby's tee.. sigh. pretty disappOinting shOpping lOcation... nOt tO say the delifrance lunch. nOthing tO inject lOcal flavOur.

a trip tO the peak is prObably the mOst wOrthwhile sightseeing event. just pay HKD30 fOr a twO-way peak tram ride.

went On fOOt frOm the pier → mtr. dinner was a pain. wantOn mee sOup. bland. had tO tOp it Off with haagen daz ice cream! little trOuble falling asleep after a relaxing sOak in the tub. dOn't yOu just LURVE staying in a hOtel?!

had tO settle fOr fOOd deprived Of lOcal flavOur yet again, after anOther fruitless shOt at chancing upOn sOme dim sum. my pOrk fillet curry rice tasted like tOmatO sauce + white rice. nice.

much-needed break @ rbt ("rabbit" get it?) cafè
matcha lattè
misled by the fancy name, i placed my Order fOr the "recOmmended" matcha lattè. Only tO be greeted by familiar tasting jasmine milk tea cOmplimented by green cOlOured green tea pearls. the cOdfish nuggets were gOOd thOugh.

lOOking at my purchases, it's nOt hard tO cOnclude that HK is nOt my shOpping paradise. tsk tsk.

rise and shine. 10:30am. a sOak in the tub. packed. ran the tub water fOr a snOOzing hunk. lazed arOund On the spaciOus bed... and it's time tO gO. awww... having had Our fair share Of fOOd-lOcating frustratiOn, we settled fOr the lunch buffet in the hOtel. unsatisfied with the far frOm stuffed lugguage → last minute shOpping attempt. nOugats. mini wife biscuits. a pair Of cutesy slip-Ons. *rOlls eyes* what am i suppOsed tO dO? the desire tO spend sOme HK$ surged beyOnd any line Of cautiOus-buyer-ratiOnalisatiOn. *shrugs*
